My bobbin lace tools.

I love bobbin lace,
but it is not reach the same level of popularity
as other manual arts crafts in Japan.
There aren't that many stores and books for bobbin lace.
Bobbins made in Belgium .Pin made in Belgium and Japan.

Pincushions and bobbin holders .
(I receive a left pincushion as a present from my sister.
and I made bobbin holders with a little help from a family.)

This bobbin winder is made in Japan.
It's small but greatly-helpful.

I thought of making a pillow and I went to the DIY departments.
I go through a furniture department and so I found it!!
This is a Japanese cushion for summer.

It was a functionally-good pillow.

New pattern

It was completed on March 14th. ("June hanky" from The Bobbin Lace Manual)
It took a little longer than I anticipated.

This is a weaving yarn.
It's flattish cotton thread.
I chose three thread for the next bobbin lace.
It's left pink, slightly purple, and white color with hint of pink and yellow green.

Winding is too much of a bother, but it's also fun!

I'm just getting started.
I try to do a little bit of Bobbin lace every day.

My recent spin up

Thick and thin single, rainbow colored wool, colored silk fiber.

Thick and thin single, rainbow colored wool,
the whole thing is wrapped in a wool and cotton loop thread.

My first bobbin lace

I borrowed a bobbin lace book from the library.
It was easy-to-understand book.
He made things very easy for me.
His name is Yusai Fukuyama.

I don't know whether or not I will be able to do it,
but I'll have a crack at it.
I'll make do with what I have.

I made it!

I also want the framed lace.

Book of Lace

I began to learn Bobbin lace about half a year ago.
At first, I thought ”Can I do it?” It looks like a tough technique."
A curator named Yuki Pallis published a photo collection of antique
lace and embroidery. I read the book, prompted me to begin it.
